Employment in business environments
ExcelShield does not need any additional hardware resources. No server and no Internet or network connections are required. Because of that, ExcelShield can be employed on stationary as well as on mobile computers in any environment.

Installation is easy and can be done by every user. ExcelShield uses the Microsoft® Installer format (MSI) for its setup program, which enables fullautomatic installations without any user interactions. That can be particularly practical in large corporate networks.

The use of ExcelShield requires no administration and no user training. Total costs of ownership (TCO) are very low.

Licensing
ExcelShield is sold as per-user licenses. Every user may protect her own Excel files as well as those Excel files of other people (colleagues, clients). Example: A secretary is allowed to protect all Excel files of the whole department using her license. To be able to calculate the encrypted workbooks, colleagues and clients will only need the free ExcelShield Client-Add-In. This guarantees the best value.

Consulting
A separate consulting service is available to companies. The range of offered services includes consulting and seminars about the subjects ExcelShield, IT security in the fields of accountancy and finance, and general IT security.

Our software developers are able to customize ExcelShield to your individual preferences and security needs. This might be, for example, the integration of ExcelShield into a company's authentification system which is based on biometric sensors or smart cards.
