Working with ExcelShield

Seamless integration into Excel's working environment
ExcelShield integrates itself as a new submenu into Excel's working environment and works in the background. The user is not restricted in her productivity or working methods. All functions of Excel are available completely and unchanged. The context-sensitive help assists the user whenever there is a problem or uncertainty.

Interface to VBA
ExcelShield offers an interface to VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). This makes it possible to calculate encrypted workbooks via VBA macros.

The free ExcelShield Client-Add-In
ExcelShield not only protects your workbooks, it also enables you to use other workbooks that have been protected by ExcelShield, provided of course you are authorized to use them.

If you would like to give your ExcelShield protected workbooks to other people who do not own ExcelShield, you can send them the free ExcelShield Client-Add-In together with your workbooks. You find the ExcelShield Client-Add-In on your ExcelShield CD-ROM. It can also be downloaded freely from our website http://www.excelshield.com/en/excelshield/clientdownload.htm. The Client-Add-In may be distributed freely to other people.

The ExcelShield Client-Add-In enables its user to calculate the encrypted formulas of an ExcelShield protected workbook. However, if you also want to encrypt or anonymize your workbooks, you will need the ExcelShield full version.

ExcelShield and the ExcelShield Client-Add-In are easy to install and deinstall. The Client-Add-In has the same system requirements as the ExcelShield full version.

System requirements
ExcelShield integrates itself completely into Excel's work environment. The system requirements depend on those of the installed Excel product. Generally, if your system resources are sufficient to run Excel, then they will also satisfy the needs of ExcelShield.
